Was Jesus a Unicorn?

Was Jesus a unicorn? Dare I say: YES!

In the early church days, the unicorn was interpreted as an allegory to Christ. This creature represented purity and love.

Jesus is a unicorn? What? Now this girl is getting really weird. Someone needs to slap this writer with a Bible.

An ancient Greek bestiary called the Physiologus, talks about how the unicorn is powerfully strong and extremely fierce. The only way to capture such a beast was if a virgin was nearby. This beautiful, strong beast would cuddle up in a virgin’s lap, and as the maiden suckled it, she would lead it to the king’s palace to most likely be slaughtered.

This is where people compared it to Christ—who came through the womb of a virgin and laid down His life for us.

The Maiden and the Unicorn by Domenichino

Jesus didn’t bow to the religious thinkers of His day. He brought a brand-new insight that people balked at—and they even said He was possessed by a demon.

It’s kind of funny to me how we box ourselves in—when Jesus Himself broke every box in the religious system at the time.

Jesus healed in unconventional ways.

How many times did Jesus break their rules? The religious leaders of that day watched Him with a critical eye. They were just waiting to pounce on Him about breaking the Sabbath.

Luke 6:6-11

6 On another Sabbath He entered the synagogue and was teaching; and there was a man there whose right hand was withered. 7 The scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He healed on the Sabbath, so that they might find reason to accuse Him. 8 But He knew what they were thinking, and He said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and come forward!”

And he got up and came forward. 9 And Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to destroy it?” 10 After looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he did so; and his hand was restored. 11 But they themselves were filled with rage, and discussed together what they might do to Jesus.

When I picture Jesus doing this stuff I think, Man, Jesus was brave! He even knew what they were thinking, according to that scripture, and He did it anyways! Then they started to plot a way to take Him out.

Jesus was one ballsy unicorn.

In Luke 8:49-55 the story unfolds where Jairus’s daughter is proclaimed to be dead. Instead of faltering, Jesus says, “Don’t be afraid. Have faith, and she will be healed.”

Think about those words, “She will be healed.” She wasn’t sick anymore—she was dead. How could she be healed if she was dead? Apparently, Jesus didn’t view things the same as everyone else.

Jesus was a unicorn thinker in all its glory. He also healed the lepers—who were deemed untouchable as well. I want to get back to THAT Jesus. The one who was unafraid to express His belief, and show love the way it resonated with Him.

That’s what being a Unicorn is all about.

What if He’d bowed to the religious people’s ways in His day? What if He’d said, “Crap, I can’t raise dead people. I can’t heal on the Sabbath.” He would have never expressed His mission on this earth—to show Daddy God like no one else had.

My heart has really come back to Jesus—because I’m starting to see that He was brave, bold, and expressed who He saw Daddy God to be. What if He’d decided to be like all the others?

Instead, Jesus looked at the adulterer and said, “I don’t condemn you.” When in their law, she should have been stoned. Talk about a unicorn thinker. Reminds me of a Christian who uses angel cards—wink wink.

Jesus’ path wasn’t easy, and He certainly broke a lot of laws! What if your healing, mission, and inner work is being hindered simply because you have shut down the path God is trying to take you down?

Are you a unicorn like Jesus?

Unicorns in the BIBLE, Say WHAT?

Yes. I believe in unicorns.

Don’t you? What’s not to love about them? They’re a white horse with a horn coming out of their head, and rainbows shooting out of their cute, fluffy butts. Anything that burps out puffs of glitter is guaranteed to make you feel a little better about life.

Where did this unicorn idea come from? Did someone just say, “Hey, guys, I want to believe in a magical horse with a colorful horn.”

Blank stare.

“I saw a creature the other day that can poop Skittles. Legit story, bro.”

Smack!

The legend of the unicorn developed like any good myth—with something real. Let’s get ready to blow your mind.

Unicorns are in the Bible.

1

Wait, what? I can see your mind spinning even now. You’re probably thinking, this girl is cray-cray. There are definitely NOT unicorns in the Bible! Unicorns are make-believe frou-frou stuff for little girls. Well, darling, if you don’t believe me, let’s take a look.

Numbers 23:22

God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

Apparently, according to the Bible, unicorns are epic strong. They have to be in order to put up with everyone’s nonsense. These things are like the Hulk. Except not green and not an Avenger. And, let’s face it, they are way cuter. Sorry, Hulk.

All right, so one verse talks about unicorns, and now she’s talking about the Hulk? That doesn’t prove anything, right? This is just silly nonsense.

In that verse, they compared GOD Himself to a unicorn. There goes the manly card for God. Sorry, God, you are now a cute, white, fluffy horse with a horn. Oh, and You fart rainbows.

Oh my gosh, now she’s comparing GOD to a unicorn? This is just too much! God definitely does NOT fart rainbows!

Let’s read another scripture; this is getting fun now.

Job 39:9

Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

No idea why you’d want a unicorn hanging out by your crib, but all right, Job. Maybe the unicorn was helping put the baby to sleep by looking at the kid with its big, beautiful, blue eyes? Glitter—sparkles—of course that could be it.

Among this verse, Job is talking about all kinds of animals, so whatever this thing was claimed to be, it was a real creature. As real as the other animals he listed such as a: wild goat, wild ass, peacock, ostrich, horse, and the grasshopper.

2

Deuteronomy 33:17

His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns:

I don’t know what a bullock is, but unicorns have a pretty epic horn coming out of their head. Great for stabbing people who annoy you throughout the day.

If you’re a unicorn, you do what you want.

No, you shouldn’t be stabbing people—that is bad doctrine.

I know what you’re thinking. Wait a second. This is real? And there are more scriptures still? Come on, unicorns in the Bible? This is a giant joke.

No joke, people. Unicorns are real. Jesus said so. Well, okay Jesus never mentioned unicorns, but I just had to say that. If Jesus could pick an animal for a pet, I’m pretty sure He’d pick a unicorn. I mean, who wouldn’t? They’re adorable, colorful, and can poop out ice-cream.

Job 39:10

Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

After reading some of those verses, is it really so crazy to believe unicorns are real? Not really. Open your heart up wide—let’s take a ride on the rainbows.

The Flow of Energy: Lesson 3

Today, I was lying on my bed and trying to figure out why I was experiencing a few aches and pains in my body. I’m one of those, “There’s a reason why this hurts” type of person. For the last couple days, I have been experiencing energy healing and flow.

Suddenly, it hit me like a ton of angel kisses.

Duh. All those toxins are leaving my body, and I gotta flush them out!

Lesson 3: Flowing Energy=Detoxing the Body

I could still feel the angels around me and knew they were giving me some Ah-ha moments concerning what my body was going through. Drink water.

My guardian angel, Morgan, told me to work on my chakras, so I let those flow and spin.

Just like having a massage, exercising, or anything of that sort, the body will tell you that its releasing some stuff.

If you feel drawn to certain foods (for me it was blueberries) make sure you’re giving your body what it needs as you allow energy healing to flow.

Have you experienced detoxing from energy work? I’d love to hear from you!

The Flow of Energy: Lesson 2

Lesson 2: Trust Your Senses and Feel Good

I’m sure you’ve heard that 101 times, but do you actually trust what you feel? Do you allow good-feeling emotions to flow? It can be a scary feeling to let energy flow and feel good. There’s a part of us that wants to put a stop to it. Thoughts swirl such as: “Wait, do I deserve to feel this good?”

YES.

Growing up, many times we’re told not to trust our feelings. We are told our emotions are silly, too loud, annoying, irrational, too sensitive etc… I remember being told “We don’t live by what we feel.”

People are bombarded with this mindset, and I think it messes you UP. We should live by what we feel.

Our Feelings tell us what our Energy is Doing

As I lay on my bed today, I closed my eyes, put on my shamanic drum music (I love that music), and let my energy do what it wanted. I started feeling all kinds of tingles, good feelings, and got visions. My body jolted a few times (this is the oddest thing, but feels good).

When you Let Energy Flow, it tells You what you Need to Know

I pulled a card from my new fairy deck today and received the card: Balance. My friend, just yesterday, pulled the same card for me! I knew the fairies were telling me to make sure I balanced my own energy every day.

When you’re empathetic and want to save the world, you usually forget to include yourself in that healing. Lately, I have been putting my hands on my heart or stomach and letting myself have lots of loving, healing energy.

Fairies in my Room

Today as I meditated, I saw a beautiful lady and a man, and I knew they were a queen and king. They were dressed all in white, and I had this feeling they were the fairy king and queen of Winter. They had a unicorn with them and they told me, “We’re here to help you with your new project.”

When you open yourself up to healing energies, they will give you advice, healing, and nudges to go the way you need to go.

Have you experienced good energies lately? Have you felt your body flood with loving emotions? It’s time to let the good energy flow!

The Flow of Energy: Lesson 1

Just a couple days ago a friend of mine encouraged me, by the angels, to learn about energy healing. The angels seemed rather persistent, enough to make me laugh. It’s been a subject I’ve wanted to learn for a while, but haven’t gotten around to it. When I asked how to learn, they told her, “It’s within you.”

flow

So, I was laying on my bed yesterday, meditating, and thinking about what she said. It’s within me. Think about that. Energy is within you. Our physical bodies have massive amounts of energy. Of course I’d have to look up the science behind the actual amount, but I’ve read how our minds could power a city or something crazy.

As I laid there I started connecting to deeper thoughts. I am energy. I am connected to Source. I flow with energy. As I thought stuff like this, no joke, my body started to spasm and jolt. It was the coolest feeling. It happened again and again, and one time I thought, I should try to let it keep flowing, and not stop it.

I made this conscious choice to let it flow, and as I did, the jolts lasted longer. I have no idea exactly what this all meant. I have heard of things recently like: kundalini energy. All this spasms and jolts didn’t freak me out at all. It felt good and natural.

Lesson 1: Let Energy FLOW.

I was talking to another friend yesterday, and I was telling her about the body and the emotions. Many times we STOP the emotions from flowing. Much like how I was stopping, some how, the flow of energy going through me. We make this choice, and then we think the emotions ‘go away’. When in all reality, those emotions just stay stuck in the body.

Unless we fully feel what our body started to tell us, it gets stuck. (At least that’s my theory.)

I have experienced a similar flow of energy before: In church we call it the Holy Spirit. I’ve seen people jolt, fall over when someone touched them, spasm, or be completely heavy so that they couldn’t get up. I believe it’s all the same thing going on.

It’s Source (God) flowing.

I stared at stuff in my room this morning, and it’s like I could see Source in it all. I looked at each piece of art, word, and physical thing, and I thought, “God/Source is in all of that.” If we can understand our energy, I believe we can understand the true essence of love, source, God, and all we are.

Have you ever had an energy awakening?

I think mine’s just beginning!

Believing in Magic (The Search) #magic #Iloveunicorns

I’m on a search. I’ve been on this search for a while, and I keep praying that I find exactly what is is I’m looking for. I’m looking for magic again.

depositphotos_48312249_original

When we think of magic, we think of Harry Potter or some other type of fantasy. But, what if magic was real? What if mermaids, fairies, unicorns, angels, and who knows what else is an energy on this huge planet? I often wonder how we miss everything that we once believed in as a little child. The beauty of children is that they haven’t quite disconnected from it all yet.

Can you believe in fairy tales again?

I was sitting here, trying to drum up something to write, when I pulled out my deck of fairy cards. I felt as if they said to me, Do you believe in folklore? There has always been a deep part of me that believes in all of it—fairies, mermaids, mystical creatures, and maybe even aliens, but it’s not the logical thing to believe in any of those things—at least to most people. Do you wonder if we miss out on something beautiful because we hide from our child-likeness all the time?

Do you think we’ve shut down a side of ourselves and simply forgotten who we really are? I think so. I really do. So, I continue my search. My search to find out what is beyond my logical brain, and step into the realms of mystery, magical beings, and creativity. That is where I’ll find myself. That is where I’ll become alive again.

So I continue my search.
